Hi, I’m Jess, a homeschool & work from home mom of 2 living in SC.
I love all things homemaking, gardening, DIY, and anything to help me grow in my faith.
A little background on me, I taught elementary education for 5 years (3rd grade) and have worked both in Title 1 public and a private school, so I’ve seen the best and worst of both worlds. When it came to deciding where my daughter started 1st grade, I just couldn’t bear sending her off to school.
Teaching my kids values and morals based in the Bible has been my priority, and I didn’t want this to change after being immersed in a traditional school, so homeschooling was a pretty easy decision for us.
I know not everyone has the means or ability to homeschool and that is okay! I am not here to tell anyone what to do. Trust your own decisions when it comes to your family and never feel shame about it!
So that’s a little bit about me and my journey to homeschool. Next time, I’ll be sharing how I got started with homeschooling and resources we are utilizing.
